This webinar will explore the concept of environmental racism through the examination of specific incidents in Canadian history that relates to three broad categories of environmental racism. The historical categories are: urban planning in minority communities, radicalization of communities and the expressions of “multiculturalism” in Canada's urban centres and corresponding inequities of services, and conflict over land-claims, treaty rights and sovereignty issues concerning First Nations.
