On February 10, 2022, join Councillors Cressy, Layton, and Wong-Tam in a joint town hall to discuss the 2022 Municipal Budget and important issues for our communities. The Councillors will discuss COVID-19 impacts and public health; housing and the environment, and Downtown recovery. After short presentations, there will be the opportunity to hear from residents and get your questions answered!
Through the pandemic, we know existing inequalities have been laid bare. In 2022, after two years of a global pandemic, we can no longer afford to tinker with our municipal budget. We need to promote strong and healthy neighbourhoods, invest in affordable housing, robust main streets, and community services all while ensuring public health and safety. After years of austerity budgeting, it's time to look to Toronto’s future and build a city that works for everyone.
