Organizer: Toronto Community Bikeways Coalition
For the sixth consecutive year, Toronto Community Bikeways Coalition will hold its Cycling Good Cheer Ride to promote safe, fun, and active transportation in the Greater Toronto Area. This year’s ride will begin at Raccoon Park, 86 Soudan Ave at 1pm. Our festive bicycle parade led by Ruby the Red Nosed Rudolph will travel along Yonge finishing at Raccoon Terrace in Biidaasige Park for a community picnic.
Beyond spreading seasonal goodwill for all road users, Cycling Good Cheer Ride aims to draw attention to the benefits of cycling as recreation and as a mode of (active) transportation. Families enjoy the simple spectacle of seeing Santa Claus on a cargo bike full of toys and everyone in seasonal costumes. It's the highlight of the year for all of us! JOY'n us.
This in-person event is wheel-chair accessible, This event is kid-friendly and open to all ages.
Toronto Community Bikeways Coalition event is volunteer driven, powered by JOY! I noted Wheelchair Accessible - there are motorized wheelchair users who join us on the parade on the street.
