With the recent occurrence of heat domes, fires, floods, mudslides, droughts and extreme weather events, we are all seeing the devastation of the climate crisis across Canada and around the world. The need to make a just transition to a more sustainable low carbon economy is clear. This webinar will explore how we can do this in ways that:

  • ensure adequate income and livelihood opportunities

  • respect the integrity of creation

  • protect human rights

Speaker Information

Karri Munn-Venn is the Senior Policy Analyst at Citizens for Public Justice, a national organization of members inspired by faith to act for justice in Canadian public policy. She coordinates CPJ’s annual Lenten faith-in-action campaign, Give it up for the Earth! and convenes the Advocacy Group of For the Love of Creation. Karri is also a wool farmer at Leystone Farms, located on traditional Algonquin territory in west Quebec, where she lives with her husband and three kids.
