Organizing Climate Futures Speaker Series - Event 1 - Campaigns!

Organizers: Indigenous Climate Action, Research for the Frontlines, and UVic’s Transformative Climate Action program

Indigenous Climate Action, Research for the Frontlines, and UVic’s Transformative Climate Action program are partnering to host an online webinar series titled “Organizing Climate Futures.”

The first session in the series will focus on Campaigns, bringing together three powerful speakers:

  • Sleydo' Molly Wickham

  • Jesse Stoeppler

  • Tia Kennedy

This session will explore what land defense campaigns teach us about building just and livable climate futures, and what we’ve learned through movement organizing. By bringing together Indigenous organizers and land defenders from across so-called Canada, we hope to create space for grounded and generative conversations on what it means to organize climate futures.
