Join MPP Mary-Margaret McMahon in collaboration with Regenerating Toronto and Water Docs at the legendary Fox Theatre for a free screening of Water is Love: Ripples of Regeneration followed by a scintillating interactive panel featuring Swim Drink Fish and U of T Trash Team, that explores how water can embody transformation, restoration, and collaboration around the world, and in our own East End communities!

If you are up for an inspiring warm-up to Water is Love, come out and enjoy Duffins’ Defenders for a look into the power of local youth action.

Film Descriptions: Water Is Love: Ripples of Regeneration is a moving documentary about the power of regenerating the water cycle, which is the key to climate. The film shows how communities in three countries transformed degraded landscapes into thriving, productive, and life-enhancing bioregions. The Tamera community in Portugal is training youth in how to do this. “Dive in and discover the heart of the film, where every scene reflects the profound connection between water and love.”

Duffins’ Defenders was one of the most impressive films to come out of the Water Docs at School Program in recent years. In the film, the students show how they were able to help make a change and assist in getting Duffins creek, which flows through Ajax, and surrounding wetlands protected.
