Stop C-39: National Day of Action / Journée d’action nationale

  • 622 College Street Toronto, Ontario, M6G 1B4 Canada (map)

Organizers: Environmental Defence Canada, 350.org

The Bulldoze Nature Bill, Bill C-39, threatens the things our community cares about. Our community says NO to Bill C-39.

Join Environmental Defence, 350.org, and community members from across Toronto on Thursday, November 12, as we gather outside MP Danielle Martin’s constituency office to demand that our leaders put people, communities, and the climate ahead of corporate interests. Bill C-39 threatens workers and the right to strike. It undermines Indigenous communities’ ability to refuse mega-projects on their lands. And it puts our planet at risk by bypassing environmental protections that safeguard nature, wildlife, and our climate.

Hear from Keith Brooks, Programs Director at Environmental Defence, and Eve Saint, Co-founder and Lead Co-ordinator of 8th Fire Rising, as we come together to stand up for workers’ rights, Indigenous sovereignty, and environmental protections.

Together, we can send a clear message: Stop Bill C-39. Protect people and the planet.

RSVP to join us and help tell our leaders: Stop the Bulldoze Nature Bill! STOP BILL C-39!

This in-person event is wheel-chair accessible. This event is kid-friendly and open to all ages
