Trial of Faith and Climate Action protestor Canon Michael Van Dusen

  • St. Lawrence North Courthouse (room S7) 92 Front Street East Toronto, ON, M5E 1C3 Canada (map)

Please come out on Tuesday, December 23 at 9 am to support Canon Michael Van Dusen, an Anglican deacon in the Toronto diocese and Co-chair of Faith and Climate Action, as he stands trial for trespassing charges arising from a 2024 pray-in at a Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) branch protesting the bank's continued financing of fossil fuel pipelines. Reverend Van Dusen plans to plead not guilty based on his baptismal vow to “strive to safeguard the integrity of God’s creation, and respect, sustain and renew the life of the Earth.”
