Regulating Data Centres - short speeches from politicians followed by breakout workshops.
Councillor Chernos Lin and MPPs Schreiner and Bowman will speak.
Then in breakout workshops, participants will talk about the effects of large data centres’ electricity use, water use, heat generated, and noise from a local and provincial perspective. Discussion will then turn to proposing and discussing guidelines and policies that could be implemented at municipal, provincial, or federal levels.
