Seniors for Climate Action Now!

Seniors for Climate Action Now! (SCAN!) is an organization with members across the country and several chapters. The website includes the Toronto chapter page. The Toronto chapter is a member of TCAN.

SCAN! Toronto is active on the TCAN City strategy group and has participated in submissions and delegations to Council. SCAN! Toronto works with TERRE on the Portlands gas plant, organizes in neighbourhoods, participates in tabling opportunities, offers workshops in seniors’ residences, and works with Seniors for Climate to organize events as part of their pan-Canadian initiatives. SCAN! Toronto carries out the mandate of the larger organization, which reads in part: inform and mobilize seniors in an effort to prevent more climate catastrophes.
