TCAN Membership Endorses the Fossil Fuel Non-proliferation Treaty

TORONTO - At the Toronto Climate Action Network’s (TCAN) Annual General Meeting on June 19th, the network officially endorsed the campaign for the Fossil Fuel Non-proliferation Treaty. This endorsement comes shortly after the launch of the campaign that is building momentum towards a motion that will be brought to city council to encourage the city to endorse the treaty in the coming months.

The treaty is founded on three principles: non-proliferation, global disarmament, and a just transition. More information about the treaty and the link for organizations to endorse it can be found on the campaign’s website.
